Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger along with Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been following the performance of Juventus striker Alvaro Morata since his days at Real Madrid before moving to Italy in a complicated deal that sees the European champions as having first option on their former player should he decide to leave Turin.

And if things were not so bad for the two Premiership clubs knowing that they would both be required to offer more than the £14.5 million that Juventus laid out for the 22-year-old, mega bucks Manchester City and their manager Manuel Pellegrini is also said to be eyeing the Spanish international for a move to the Etihad.

In order for Manchester City to sign Morata the club would first need to get rid of 29-year-old Bosnian international Edin Dzeko and former Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic to fund the move.

And while this might seem to complicate matters for City, both players would be of interest to Juventus, which adds the possibility of a cash plus player deal.

Morata scored his first senior international goal for Spain against Ukraine during their Euro 2016 qualifier which has now added to his Premiership appeal.

You can see the goal in the video below.
