Both Arsenal and Liverpool will be disappointed when they hare that the man they have both been scouting for years will once again allude them and remain at his current club Sporting Lisbon.
That player of course is 23-year-old defensive midfielder William Carvalho who despite helping Portugal to get to the European U-21 final in Prague, and being on a number of bigger clubs hit lists will remain in Lisbon according to club trainer Jorge Jesus.
Jesus is quoted as telling Portuguese television network SIC: “William is a certainty. Sporting has young people who are already certainties, are not hopes or doubts. William will be enhanced if the team is also.
“Only players value the team respond to winning titles. He’s a player with features to play more. I have no doubt that with me will play more.”
