Argentinian Striker REFUSES to sign a new contract at Inter Milan

Top Premier League clubs are on alert after Argentinian striker Mauro Icardi turned down the latest offer put in front of him by Inter Milan.

The highly-rated striker is expected to leave the San Siro this summer after having gained the interest of some of Europe’s top clubs, whose scouts have watched Icardi score 21 goals in all competitions for Inter Milan this season.

The 22-year-old’s current deal does not expire until 2018 but the Italian club are looking to extend that by a year.

However for this to happen, the former Sampdoria striker says he wants a pay increase to bring his wages up to £3 million a year, which works out to be just over £57,000 per-week.

Inter though are facing a dilemma in that they do not want to sell Icardi, but at the same time are not willing to meet his wage demands.

Given the current situation he would appear to be a prime candidate for a summer move away from Italy.
