Argentinian defender rescues his Manchester United career

Argentinian defender Marcos Rojo has rescued his Manchester United career following a failed move to Monaco this past summer in which the former Sporting Lisbon star was set to be a part of the deal to bring Anthony Martial to Old Trafford before his agent Jorge Mendes intervened on his behalf while in Manchester for talks over David De Gea’s new contract.

The 25-year-old was in manager Louis van Gaal’s bad books after failing to go on United’s pre-season tour of North America due to passport problems, but is now happy after van Gaal assured him that he is still in his plans at United.

Rojo has been working hard in training and could even feature this afternoon against Southampton following the injury to Luke Shaw in Holland that will now see the England youngster out for the season as he recovers from a broken leg.
