Both the Daily Mail and The Sun have overnight broken a story of how Manchester united winger Angel Di Maria was involved in a terrifying incident when thieves attempted to break into the Argentinians Cheshire home on Saturday night following United 3-1 victory over Leicester City at Old Trafford.
According to reports, “a gang of three armed thugs used scaffolding poles to smash patio doors” of Di Maria’s home.
Fortunately for Di Maria and his family who were eating at the time the alarm system kicked in forcing the robbers to leave empty handed.
The Daily Mail went on to say:
The 26-year-old, his wife and young daughter were said to have been whisked away from the house by United’s security team and later taken to a hotel by police.
In what may be connected to the attempted robbery Angel Di Maria’s wife has closed and deleted her Instagram account.
