It is not very often you hear footballers say good things about their former club after having just been sold to another team, Andre Schurrle is not just another footballer though after the classy things he had to say about Chelsea when he completed his move to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
The young German had found his playing time at Stamford Bridge limited due to the amount of stars manager Jose Mourinho had at his disposal, and with the arrival of winger Juan Cuadrado from Fiorentina it would have meant even less playing time the German World Cup winner.
Schurrle proved he was a class act by saying “Chelsea was a great experience for me, I loved this club, and still love this club, the team is amazing… it helped me a lot to be in this team and to work with Mourinho.”
