Many people rate Diego Costa ahead of Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud but have a look at the stats of both players over the last two seasons and you will be shocked to find out that the Arsenal striker has done better than Diego Costa. This is because Diego Costa has missed many games as result of injury and suspensions. The Brazilian Spain international has always gotten into the bad books of refs or suffering from one injury to the other.

Unlike Giroud, Costa has not had a real prolong goal drought but he has denied Chelsea his services by getting in trouble too many times. This has reportedly frustrated the Chelsea management and will try to get rid of him this summer or at least bring in someone else to compete with him.

According to reports, the Blues have joined Arsenal in the case for Alvaro Morata as they seek to find a replacement/competition for Diego Costa. With Falcao, Remy and Pato not particularly impressive since joining Chelsea, the Blues can’t possibly rely on them to deliver next season hence the reports of the interest in Morata makes alot of sense.

Morata is one of Juventus’ key players but unfortunately there is a real chance that he could leave the Turin club this summer as a result of the presence of a buy back clause Real Madrid inserted in his contract when they were selling him in 2014. According to reports, Real Madrid are ready to activate the buy back clause this summer and immediately re-sell him for profit. Arsenal are said to be interested in the Spaniard but Chelsea will be hoping they can beat the Gunners to his signing.

Alvaro Morata has scored 25 goals in 88 appearances for Juventus.
