Arsenal enter race for £50m rated Spanish Striker

“Cavani is a PSG player today. I don’t know if he’ll be for sale, but it’s definitely interesting.”

The above statement was made by Juventus director Beppe Marotta which is an indication that Juventus could be interested in signing Edinson Cavani which if true would be Juventus already accepted defeat in their attempt to keep Alvaro Morata at the club before this summer transfer window. Which is good news for Arsenal who have been linked to the signing of the former Real Madrid star.

Reports had emerged Juventus are willing to pay Real Madrid more money to ensure the buy back clause available in Morata’s contract is removed but with they now seemingly interested in signing Cavani from PSG, it could be a massive boost for Arsenal unless of course if they are trying to sign Cavani while still keeping Morata which is unlikely.

Morata left Real Madrid for first team football and won’t want to be seating on the bench for Cavani and neither would Cavani want to go to Juventus and then become a bench warmer at the Turin club. Juventus’ interest in Cavani can only mean they have accepted defeat which is good news for Arsenal.

Morata is certainly a good player and Arsenal have always been linked with his signing even before he was sold to Juventus. Arsenal reportedly lost the chance to sign the Spaniard because they do not want to give Real Madrid an option of a buy back clause which Juventus was totally cool with.

With Olivier Giroud showing once again that Wenger’s reliance on him is misplaced, Wenger can’t be sign another striker this summer to give Arsenal a chance of finally winning the Premier league after waiting for 12 years.
