Cristian Zaccardo has stressed that AC Milan are in good shape ahead of the Serie A clash against Fiorentina, warning they are gunning for a victory to hand them the initiative in the race for the top three.

The Rossoneri currently hold a six-point lead over their fourth-placed opponents, and Zaccardo is determined to deal the Tuscans’ Champions League ambitions a significant blow on Sunday.

“We’re ready for Sunday’s match in Florence. Adriano Galliani said that Fiorentina are our most dangerous rival, but we’re in good shape,” Zaccardo told Milan Channel.

“With only eight matches left, games like this become even more important.

“We hope that we can do what we did in Verona [against Chievo]. We’re in good form at the moment and there’s a lot of enthusiasm in every training session.”

Sunday’s encounter is scheduled to kick off at 12:30CET.
