Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has apparently told the French champions that he wants to leave the Parc des Princes and join Manchester United where he can once more play in his preferred centre-forward position according to Fichajes.net.

Just the other week it was reported that the Uruguayan international had been involved in a massive argument with PSG trainer Laurent Blanc telling the Frenchman that he was fed up of being played out of position to appease Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is eager to bring in a big name striker, for the departing Radamel Falcao and also possibly Robin van Persie, and the 28-year-old former Napoli hit-man certainly ticks all the boxes.

This however could be a hurdle for United, as Arsenal, Chelsea and even Liverpool are in the market for a man who can provide the goals, and give Cavani’s past record we all know that he is capable of supplying the goods.
