In a news that all Chelsea fans the world over will be buzzing about, former Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly told Chelsea officials he will be joining the club this summer if they can assure him he will be a regular in the team next season.

The Argentine has been one of the best strikers in Europe this season. He has at as of the time of writing this news report scored a total of 32 goals in 33 games for Napoli in the Serie A and has been linked with both Manchester United and Chelsea.

Higuain according to daily star has made it clear he does not fancy a move to Manchester United and will choose the Blues ahead of the Red devils. The Blues are said to be working on getting a deal for £42 million done for the Napoli star.

This news could mark the end of Costa as the Spain international may not be happy to warm the bench while Higuain takes his first choice position in the Chelsea team next season.

Costa who has also been linked with Atletico Madrid and some China clubs will certainly not be happy to all of a sudden become a second choice behind the Argentine.

However, Should Chelsea end up signing Higuain, they would have signed someone much more better than Costa but it will be much more better if they can manage to sign Higuain and still manage to keep Costa.
