£29m La Liga Star wants to test himself in the EPL

According to his agent Atletico Madrid‘s Arda Turan intends to leave La Liga this summer to play in England.

The 28-year-old joined Atletico Madrid from Galatasaray in 2011 and has won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Europa League while also making it to the Champions League final in 2014.

Despite all this he has seen many of his teammates join clubs like Chelsea and thinks it would be a good time for him to make a change as well.

According to his agent Ahmet Bulut there is already three English teams making inquiries with one of them almost certain to be Manchester United.

“He intends to leave Spain this summer. It is his will to go out to play in the Premiership, that is where he would like to continue his career at this time,” Bulut told AS.

“His departure from Atletico is not easy because he has a clause of €41 million.

“There are on-going talks with three teams at the moment. I cannot say their names, but they are the best of England and European football.”

Bulut has confirmed that French champions Paris Saint-Germain were interested, but that Turan has set his mind on the Premiership where he was in the past linked with a move to both Chelsea and Liverpool.

“Yes, it’s true; Milan and PSG are two of the six teams that are interested in him. But the Italian team does not go into our options because it does not play the Champions League,” he added.

“PSG is a possibility, but he has always had a burning desire to prove himself in England.”
