Premier League Club tries to scare off SUITORS for in-form STRIKER

Romelu Lukaku could be returning to Chelsea this summer if reports in various English media outlets today are anything to go by. Conte has reported identified re-signing the former Chelsea midfielder a priority for this summer.

Lukaku who was signed by Chelsea in 2011 from Anderlecht in a £20m ( figure by BBC ) as a long term replacement for Didier Drogba who was still a Chelsea player then but after failing to impress, he was sent on loan to West Brom and then to Everton and in 2014, Everton paid £28 million to acquire him on a permanent basis from Chelsea.

Lukaku has ever since joining Everton become one of the best strikers in the Premier League and so far this season, he has scored 26 goals and created 6 assists. This impressive performance has reportedly caught the eyes of Antonio Conte who has told Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich he sees the Belgian as the sought of striker that would help Chelsea crawl back into the top of English football once more.

Reported available for £50 million, Lukaku himself has confirmed he will like to leave Everton this summer should an offer from a big club be made for his services. Bayern Munich, PSG, Real Madrid and Manchester United have all been linked with the signing of the Belgian but this hasn’t stopped Chelsea from wanting to sign him. Chelsea believe they have a good chance of re-signing their former striker.

What could work in advantage of Chelsea is the fact that Lukaku may feel he has unfinished business at Stamford Bridge however, the lack of Champions League football next season could work against Chelsea.

with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cavani likely to leave PSG this summer, it will not be a surprise if the French Champions beat Chelsea to the signing of the Belgian. It is a sad reality, PSG are now more attractive than Chelsea.
