Both Arsenal and Tottenham need to take a serious look at Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye after the 29-year-old signalled his interest in getting more playing time worried that all his bench warming duties at the Parc des Princes could force French national team manager Didier Deschamps to overlook him when it came time to picking his Euro 2016 squad.

The French international has all the skill and ability to play in the Premiership after having already demonstrated it during the three seasons he played for Newcastle United and is eager to play the first team football that has eluded him with the French champions.

‘I know that if I stay [at PSG], whatever I do, nothing will change,’ said Cabaye.

‘If there is an opportunity to go back to England, I hope everyone will be smart enough to do things well. But there could be other destinations.’
